At the end of October The Support Network Board and Management Team met to discuss and plan for upcoming year for the Crisis Support Centre, 211 Edmonton and Volunteer Edmonton; The Support Network’s three flagship programs. After many conversations with funders and grantors it is has become necessary for the Board and Management team to examine the program offerings delivered by The Support Network. We have struggled over the last two years to balance our budget due to stagnant core funding and a challenging fundraising environment. The Support Network believes in being financially responsible and accountable and continuing to operate with deficit budgets puts the entire Agency at risk. This lead to a difficult decision about what our core business is and what programs we believe are critical for The Support Network to continue delivering to the community.
